Being There for a Dying Loved One
Dealing with one of the most horrible experiences we humans endure.
A loved one with a life-threatening illness is one of the most horrible experiences we humans endure. It’s normal to worry about what to say or how to act. It can all be scary and uncomfortable. You know you can’t make anything better, but what exactly CAN you do? That’s the focus of this week’s Deep Dive podcast, “Being There for a Dying Loved One.”
The important role you can play is to simply be available to listen, to hug and to let them know you care. In this episode, I’m sharing some of my personal experiences and talking about how spouses, parents, children, friends and relatives can be a source of comfort.
Please don’t let your fears and anxiety stop you from interacting with people in your life who are losing theirs. When someone has really meant something to you, hearing that they will be missed is the best of all possible gifts.
