I’ve listened to you for many years, and your stories about mother birds have always resonated with me. Every spring, right off my back door a mother and father bird build a nest. The mother lovingly lays eggs and protects them through thick and thin until they hatch. Each and every time, she eventually boots her babies out of the nest. The little ones usually hang out for a while, hiding under patio furniture, hoping their mommy will come and get them. It seems scary for the babies as well as mom who is always close by watching them from afar. Finally, after a day or two, the baby birds take flight and go out in the world to start their own bird lives. This happens multiple times throughout the summer, and I have loved watching it.
