I heard a call from a mother with three boomerang children, and it reminded of when my son was 19. After his freshman year in college, he sat us down and said he was wasting his time and our money because he hated college. He found a roommate situation with a couple of older friends and was moving out.
After a few months, he came over for dinner and asked if he could move back home. Apparently, his roommates were treating him like an annoying little brother. We said he would always be welcome, but there would be rules. He’d have to pay rent, clean up after himself and abide by a curfew. He asked for time to think about it.
A few days later, he reached out to say that he and the roommates had a meeting and everything was good. He eventually went back to college and is now an accountant. He owns his own house and has a lovely fiancée.
I love listening and thank you for all you do!
