Standing up to bullies!

My mother taught me at a very young age to stand up to bullies. When I was around 10 years old, a friend of mine had words with a girl from school. I was scared out of my mind, but I opened my big mouth anyway and said, “Don’t talk to my friend that way!” I remember thinking maybe that wasn’t the best thing to do. But the bully actually backed off.
