When a mother-in-law and a daughter-in-law enjoy each other’s company, that’s the best possible scenario. They not only get to avoid competing for importance to the man they mutually love (the husband and son), they can actually team up to make his life better. Talk about harmony in the family! Sadly, this is not the norm.

All sorts of in-laws have trouble getting along. But, let’s be honest, it’s usually the women who make life difficult. When the mother-in-law of the family turns dangerous or destructive, I believe husband and wife need to consider pushing mom out of the picture.
