My Appreciation
Read on the Tuesday, June 23rd radio program.
Dear Dr. Laura, I am a 47-year-old mother of two and have been listening to your podcasts for a few years. I appreciate your no-nonsense advice—it is clear, concise, and logical. My background is in math, so that kind of logic is especially appealing to me.
What I have come to value most about your podcasts is that they make me realize how wonderful my husband is. I think the two of you would like each other very much! He sees things in very black-and-white terms when it comes to right and wrong and is not afraid to make unpopular decisions if it means avoiding “ruffling feathers” or being seen as the “bad guy.”
He is unapologetic when it comes to making decisions he feels are right and in the best interest of our family, even when I am the one questioning them. It can be infuriating at times how often he turns out to be right! He is willing to take on the burden and responsibility of leading our family and being our provider and protector.
I am grateful for the man he is, and listening to some of your callers and your advice to them makes me appreciate him even more. It also makes me more conscious of striving to be the wife he deserves. So thank you for reminding me, day after day, that I hit the jackpot.
Sincerely,
Jackie
