My Cute Husband

Read on the Tuesday, June 9th radio program.

Hi Dr. Laura, I wanted to share a cute story about my husband. One day, after I had been at work for more than 24 hours, he called me first thing in the morning singing Christmas songs. I was completely exhausted, desperately in need of sleep, and more than a little cranky, so I told him, “It’s a good thing you’re cute, because you’re really pissing me off right now.”

Apparently, he stopped listening after the word “cute.” Now, six months later, all I have to say is, “Because…?” and he immediately responds, “Because I’m cute!” while tilting his head like a puppy.
