I want to share with you just how right you are when you tell families to stop "enabling" their family member in active addiction. Today is my daughter’s 18th birthday and also my anniversary of being clean from meth. On this day 14 years ago, I took my last hit of meth before taking my daughter to see a movie. We lived with my mom, and when we got home, a strange man opened the door. He was the interventionist hired to talk me into rehab. My mom had finally had it with me and called him to help.
