The Blessings of Being a Pet Parent

I often hear calls from folks grieving the loss their pets and wanted to share my insight as a dog sitter. A few years ago, a client of mine and I were discussing how we love our pets differently than our children. We bring our children home from the hospital knowing our job is to teach them to become independent so that they will eventually leave us and go on their way.
