Dr. Laura, I was a caller many years ago, and I can only hope my call “hit home” for someone as much as a recent call did for me. A woman shared her story of a very troubled childhood. Her abusive, drug-addicted mom had recently died, and she didn’t feel sad. Although I was on a tight schedule, I just kept sitting there, listening.
