The Lost Art of Thank You Notes

Thank you for discussing the subject of raising thankful kids this holiday season. I have nephews and nieces who never send me a note, or text, or call to say that they appreciate the monetary gifts I send them at Christmas. I don’t send much, and maybe it doesn’t go a long way, but I feel hurt that they don’t acknowledge my gift. I heard a recent caller bring this up to you, and you suggested sending a nice card without the money because that’s sufficient. I’m going to start doing that!
